G_SS and G_FE are the slice selection and the frequency encoding gradients. The moment of the phase encoding gradient G_PE is the same along the pulse train and signal from consecutive echoes is encoded as lines of independent k-spaces. Phase encoding and rewinding gradients are applied before and after each signal acquisition window rather than a single phase encoding step applied before the first refocusing pulse. Constant crusher gradients at the left and right of the slice selective gradients are present in the sequence but are not shown in the diagram.
