In vivo merged 19 F (color) and proton (grayscale) MRI acquired on a clinical 3T scanner of a rabbit transplanted with 10,000 perfluoropolyether (PFPE)-labeled islets under the kidney capsule demonstrates clear visualization of cell transplants.
