From: MRXCAT: Realistic numerical phantoms for cardiovascular magnetic resonance
MRXCAT workflow overview. Tissue masks in desired orientation with optional cardiac and respiratory motion are generated using XCAT. MR contrast, including dynamic contrast enhancement, is mapped onto these masks. After coil sensitivity multiplication, noise is added to attain desired image degradation. Optional gridding to non-Cartesian trajectories and resampling, followed by image reconstruction and post-processing complete the simulation procedure.
