Examples of cine- and late gadolinium enhancement (LGE)-CMR images of a patient with Duchenne (a) and Becker muscular dystrophy (b) in short-axis views (upper panels) and 3-chamber views (lower panels). In both, the same non-ischemic, predominantly subepicardial LGE pattern (arrows) indicating myocardial fibrosis can be seen.
