Simulation pipeline overview. Dynamic cardiac perfusion image series are generated from a six sector MRXCAT model in short axis view. Concentration dynamics are calculated from a convolutional perfusion model and a first order kinetic model for metabolic conversion. Spatial variation of B0 inhomogeneities, T2* relaxation and excitation profiles are included as synthetic maps. K-space sampling is implemented for arbitrary trajectories with phase evolutions for each sampling time point. Three high resolution slices are down-sampled into one image slice. Perfusion curves are extracted from noisy images at eight different signal-to-noise (SNR) levels with 20 realizations each
