The upper half of the figure shows a histological slice of a biopsy from a patient with in total 4% fibrosis classified as perivascular and interstitial. The corresponding MOLLI (26.8%) and Real-time (26.6%) maps quantify extracellular volume fractions (ECV) within normal range. The lower half shows a histological slice of a biopsy containing a total of 21% fibrosis comprising 80% perivascular and interstitial fibrosis. The corresponding MOLLI (29.5%) and Real-time (30.1%) maps quantify ECV above average indicating pathology
