  1. GQI metrics were abbreviated as generalized fractional anisotropy (GFA), isotropic diffusion component (ISO), restricted diffusion index (RDI), and non-restricted diffusion index (nRDI). The diffusion tensor imaging fractional anisotropy (DTI-FA) was also calculated for comparison to GQI methods. Statistical analysis was performed using the Shapiro–Wilk test for normality, followed by the F-test for variance, and finally the Two-sample t-test. A P value less then 0.05 was considered significant under each statistical test
