CMR evaluation of pericardial adipose tissue. Volumetric assessment: 3 traces, myo-epicardial border, viscero-parietal pericardial border and outer paracardial margin each subtending areas of epicardial and paracardial (and subsequently pericardial) areas which can then be converted to volumes. Thickness assessment: adipose tissue thickness measured at the midpoint of the right ventricular free wall on the mid chamber short axis image.
