Age correlates with global median T2 time in absence of known cardiovascular disease. (A) Typical examples of two volunteers of different age (25 and 75 years) receiving T2 mapping and Late Gadolinium Enhancement (LGE). While there is no sign of a structural heart disease (LGE), T2 maps display differences in distribution of myocardial T2 values already upon visual inspection.
