Right ventricular (RV) strain analysis. End-systolic phase images encoding the horizontal (a) and vertical (b) displacements were acquired using 2D spiral cine DENSE. The displacements for each pixel in the end-systolic image (black dots in c) relative to end-diastole (grey dots in c) were extracted directly from the phase images. A mesh of the RV myocardium was deformed from diastole to systole using these displacements (d), and strains were computed for each mesh element
