Qualitative comparison between pre-ferumoxytol HASTE and FE-HASTE images. A 3-point Likert grading scale was employed: 3 = complete suppression of the blood signal within the vascular lumen on all slices; 2 = persistent, bright blood signal within some part of the lumen on one or more slices; and 1 = persistent, bright blood signal within a considerable part of the lumen on many or all slices. Compared to pre-ferumoxytol HASTE images, the mean image quality scores for all 10 cardiovascular regions on FE-HASTE images were significantly higher (p < 0.001).
