Patterns of negative wave intensity for 1D models based on the 1st, 3rd and 4th principle components of radius. For the model simulating the first PC of radius, the negative weight (red line) had an increased backwards compression wave (BCW) area, in keeping with the clinical data. The positive weight (yellow line) of the 3rd PC had a greater BCW area and the negative weight (red line) of the 4th PC had the largest BCW area. Both these findings were also in agreement with the clinical data
