RU of (a) remote and (b) ischemic myocardial segments at rest and during adenosine-induced hyperemia (=stress). RU of remote myocardial segments was significantly increased by adenosine, irrespective of caffeine intake. Ischemic segment RU was not significantly influenced by adenosine on caffeine-naïve exams, while it was slightly reduced by adenosine after caffeine intake
